Purashield vs IQ Air Cleanroom Series v2, Technical Comparison
The purpose of this document is to provide brief comparisons from a technical standpoint on the following two units, which are color-coded throughout the document for the reader.
2) Cleanroom Series-IQ Air
Information on the air purifier from IQ Air were collected from the vendor’s “Cleanroom Series” product brochure.
Airflow and Turnover
Purashield • Maximum flowrate of 600 m3 h-1
Cleanroom Series • Maximum flowrate of 530 m3 h-1 (from H13 model, which has highest flowrate of series)
Result: PuraShield can purify a greater volume of room air than the Cleanroom series in the same amount of time.
As an example: Assume a small living space with a volume of 50m3. In one hour, PuraShield can process at least 12 air exchanges, whereas H13 achieves at least 10. The difference in air processing capability increases significantly over longer operation, as shown below.
Conclusion: PuraShield has a greater capacity to treat larger air volumes over shorter timespans than the Cleanroom series. End-users potentially require fewer Purashield units to effectively treat the same room volume.
